The Exercise That Burns the Most Is the One You Need the Most

Yesterday I wrote that the carb cycling day would be smooth sailing. It was. On point, start to finish. I’m now in the flow, and I’m looking forward to where the next 2.5 weeks will get me before the 2027 Ramp begins.

This morning was Full Body Burn — day five of #mbf in the condo gym. This one is tough. The split squats and bent over row portion makes your glutes scream.

But the exercise that burns the most is usually the one you need the most. So I push through every time.

And training is only half of it. My workouts stayed consistent all summer and my body feels strong. But the belly fat I was focused on removing didn’t move, and nutrition is the reason. No amount of training will result in fat loss and achieving your desired weight without improving nutrition. That’s why a carb cycling day that goes on point matters as much as a workout that makes your glutes scream.

Now the weekend. It’s looking more and more like the hurricane is going to wash out the entire weekend. Meaning no golf. I’ll still work out and still stick to my nutrition plan. But outside of that, it’s going to be a lazy weekend in the condo watching football.

A lazy weekend at the end of a week spent in the flow? That counts as earned leisure. Golf can wait.

Day five is in the books.
