I Skipped the Salad and Finished the Peanut Butter.
Day one of Ultimate Portion Fix carb cycling, and I didn’t follow it exactly. I made my 21 Day Fix chocolate peanut butter bars, which fit the schedule on the foundational days. Then there was a little peanut butter left over, and instead of running out to get the dinner salad and the evening Shakeology, I ate the peanut butter and finished the jar.
Here’s the thing: the calories were still in line. And I’ve got time planned today to get broccoli so I have vegetables for dinner going forward.
The workout side needed no rescue. I love #mbf. The condo gym here has plenty of space for all the cardio moves, and I crushed the cardio circuit this morning — slightly more rounds in the AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) at the end, which fuels my competitive side.
Then there’s the part I didn’t expect to feel: it’s motivating to have the Ramp live while my weight is behind schedule. I said this in my 2026 journal — I’m not doing this just for you. The writing commits me, whether it’s live or not. The difference now is that I’m not just committing to myself. I’m committing to others. And that’s very motivational.
You don’t have to be perfect on day one. You have to be back on track by day two. I am.
